Service Description

Participants will: • Share best practices for supervision, particularly on buses and in locker rooms • Develop relationship building strategies between AD and Administration • Use the MSSADA tools to prioritize tasks and responsibilities by sport, season and month • Role-play conflict resolution strategies • Identify how athletic programs support student emotional wellness • Articulate strategies to form and maintain positive relationships with administrators, parents, students, coaches, vendors, opponents, etc. • Review legal and regulatory protocols related to: Safety (physical and emotional), injuries, and risk management Title IX Bullying – harassment - hazing IDEA and section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act Hiring and supervising staff Reporting abuse and neglect (51A) Build on your own understanding of - culturally conscious leadership - education based athletics - trauma informed practices • Share networks and resources • Identify where to find answers and support for specific concerns/issues • Establish priority goal areas based on shared knowledge and skills • Review contractual responsibilities • Other topics as recommended by the MSSADA
