




Meet the team
Teresa Sullivan, PhD, is a veteran Massachusetts high school principal and professional development provider. She has participated in international school administrator delegations to Finland and Germany, and has authored “The Educationalization of Student Emotional and Behavioral Health: Alternative Truth”, 2018, Palgrave Pivot, New York.
As the Principal of Abington High School, Dr. Sullivan built strong teams and a purposeful culture leading to the coveted US DOE Blue Ribbon in 2018 as ONE of only seven Exemplary Gap Closing traditional public high schools in Massachusetts in the last decade. She is an administrator mentor for the Massachusetts School Administrators' Association (MSAA) and was also an instructor for the Massachusetts Elementary
School Principals' Association (MESPA) licensure program.

As a former high school History teacher, Curriculum Director, Assistant Principal and Principal, Terri brings substantial authenticity to professional development in public education. Her research, education, and passion for public policy and social justice provide a powerful context for her work. Terri is a skilled and engaging instructor, sharing important wisdom and wit.

Laura Louko, M.Ed.
Laura has been working as a Massachusetts high school Assistant Principal since 2018. Prior to moving into administration she was an English teacher for more than ten years. Laura has presented locally and nationally at conferences such as the M.A.S.S summer conference and the Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence Conference in Orlando. She has also presented at local high schools on the South Shore. Outside the classroom Laura has been a Global Education Coordinator, has co-chaired NEASC accreditation, and has successfully integrated social emotional curriculum and programming into a traditional high school setting.

Kim McHugh, M.A.
Kim has been an English teacher at Abington High School for more than 20 years and earned her administrator license in 2020. Beyond the classroom she has served as a peer mentor, student advisor, and NEASC chair. Kim regularly leads school-wide professional development for her district and has recently presented at the English Language Arts Collaborative Workshop at Bridgewater State University and nationally at the Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence Convention.

Peter Serino, M.Ed.
Peter has been the Director of Athletics for Abington Public Schools since 2013. Prior to taking on an administrative role, he was a history teacher for five years. Peter earned his bachelor’s degree in History from the College of the Holy Cross and his master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Bridgewater State University. Peter holds numerous leadership positions at the school, district, and state levels. His professional experiences in athletic administration provide unique and valuable insight into effective school management and operations and safe and supportive schools.
