Audience: Experienced teachers serving as mentors to novice educators aligned with MA DESE Handbook for
Teacher Induction and Mentoring (2025)
Format: Two session series
Dates: September 24 and September 25
Fee: $450 per person

Approach: Interactive, practical, discussion-based, and highly applicable with opportunities for reflection, role-play, and collaborative planning.

MEET YOUR COACH
Kim McHugh is a recently retired high school English teacher with 25 years in the classroom. She is experienced in curriculum design, assessment development, and accreditation leadership, with a track record of creating engaging learning experiences that drive student success. Kim is known for leading instructional improvements, aligning content with evolving standards, and developing professional learning programs that enhance teaching effectiveness. Additionally, she is skilled in collaborating with instructional designers and education leaders to create scalable solutions that improve learning outcomes. Kim co-authored the book Teaching at the Tipping Point: Embracing Equity and Empathy in Education (Springer, 2025). She currently develops and presents meaningful professional development for educators on a range of topics including Inclusive Practices and MTSS for the Middle/High School Classroom and Discourse and Dialogue: Cultivating Curiosity and Courage in the Classroom.
